The 2023 National Conference on Education Digitization took place in Wuhan, Hubei from June 19th to 20th. Attendees included Huai Jinpeng, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of Education, and Shao Xinyu, Vice Governor of Hubei Province, among others.

The conference focused on implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the teachings of General Secretary Xi Jinping on education and digital development. The goal is to create a strong education system and a learning society for quality and equity.

Under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, the Ministry of Education has launched the national education digitization strategy, centered around the national smart education platform. This strategy optimizes the availability of high-quality resources, supports major education reforms, and enhances international influence.

The conference called for continuous improvement in smart education, empowering students and teachers alike. It stressed the use of education data resources, talent training, and the establishment of effective management mechanisms for open and high-level education across society.
